Duraboard
Dimensions: 1" thick, 24" x 24"
Duraboard is a rigid, high temperature board that can be used in place of a ceramic kiln shelf. It withstands temperatures up to 2300 degrees F (1260 degrees C). Duraboard saws easily, making it handy for fitting kiln interiors or for a drop-out mold. It contains an organic binder which burns off from 350-1000 degrees F (177-538 degrees C). Requires no shelf primer if used at slumping or painting temperatures under 1200 degrees F (649 degrees C). Use rigidizer and Primo Primer if using as a kiln shelf. Follow instructions.
